‘Fall of Diddy’ documentary: Former Danity Kane member claims Sean Combs made sexual advances towards Aubrey O’Day
A past member of Sean “Diddy” Combs’ girl group Danity Kane has shared her experiences of working with the controversial hip-hop figure.
D. Woods, one of the singers from the award-winning R&B group alongside Aubrey O’Day, Dawn Richard, Shannon Bex, and Aundrea Fimbres, spoke out during the finale of the Investigation Discovery series “The Fall of Diddy” on Tuesday.
“It’s significant for me to let you have your own experience while I still acknowledge what mine was,” Woods stated. “Listening to some of those songs brings back terrible memories.
“I visualize being in those dark, frightening, predatory environments and hearing someone say some of the most humiliating things to me while trying to figure out how to cope and not let that person break me.”
Woods accused Combs of being verbally abusive towards her and her colleagues throughout their careers, even criticizing her appearance. “I referred to it as ‘jedi mind tricks,'” she explained. “I had no choice but to take it, clench my teeth, and allow him to say whatever he wanted.”
The former Danity Kane member also suggested that Combs’ alleged inappropriate conduct included sexual comments directed at O’Day.
In response to a request for comment from the “Fall of Diddy” production team, representatives for Combs stated: “Mr. Combs has complete faith in the facts and the integrity of the judicial system. In court, the truth will come to light: that the allegations against Mr. Combs are completely fictional.”
Combs, who was taken into custody in September 2024 on charges of racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution, is currently held in the Special Housing Unit at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center. His trial, during which he denies all charges, is scheduled to begin on May 5.
Here are the major insights gleaned from Tuesday’s episode.
D. Woods claims Diddy made sexual advances toward Danity Kane member Aubrey O’Day
Woods also shared information about Combs’ interactions with O’Day.
She recounted that O’Day confided in her about receiving “inappropriate” pictures from Combs, which were described as “extremely pornographic.” “I remember advising her, ‘Girl, save that in a folder. Send it to your mom. Keep it,'” Woods recalled.
While attending New York Fashion Week in 2008, Woods mentioned that O’Day crossed paths with Combs, who allegedly told her she was now “hot enough” to sleep with him.
Shortly after O’Day’s claimed encounter, Combs convened a mandatory meeting with Danity Kane, at which O’Day and Woods were dismissed from the group. Woods suggested that Combs retaliated against O’Day partly because she didn’t “succumb to his advances.”
“He wanted her to feel weak and doubt her self-worth,” Woods expressed. “I believe that’s one of the reasons he got rid of me as well.”
YSL News has reached out to representatives for O’Day for a comment.
Diddy’s former chef claims he assaulted her during a dispute
Jourdan Cha’Taun, Combs’ previous chef who worked for him from 2007 to 2010, accuses the music mogul of assaulting her during an argument at his home.
Cha’Taun stated that the altercation arose due to Combs’ issues with her perceived “attitude” at work. When an irate Cha’Taun declared that she was quitting, Combs allegedly pushed her to the ground.
Although she considered taking legal action against him, Cha’Taun feared being blacklisted in the culinary field if she spoke out.
“Puff scared me, so I remained silent about things I knew because I was worried that something might happen to me,” Cha’Taun admitted.
Lil Rod says he was advised to ‘downplay’ Diddy’s alleged sexual misconduct
Producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones Jr., who contributed to Combs’ recent album “The Love Album: Off the Grid,” claims his worries about the rapper’s alleged misconduct were ignored.
Jones filed a lawsuit against Combs in February 2024, accusing him of forcible touching and of requiring Jones to solicit sex workers and engage in sexual acts for his “pleasure.”
In the documentary, Jones recounted one particular studio session where Combs had the production crew move into his bathroom, disrobed in front of them, and entered the shower.
When Jones tried to bring up Combs’ alleged conduct with one of his staff members, he was reportedly told: “That’s just how he shows that he likes or cares for you. Just brush it off like it’s no big deal.”
“Everyone was indulging in the Puffy juice,” Jones reflected. “That makes me feel incredibly used and abused. Only a monster could behave like this.”
Thalia Graves alleges Diddy threatened her after an alleged rape
Thalia Graves has alleged in a lawsuit filed in September that Combs raped her in the early 2000s, and she reflected on the emotional aftermath of the incident.
Graves, who was reportedly in a relationship with one of Combs’ staff members, claimed in her lawsuit that both Combs and his then-bodyguard, Joseph “Big Joe” Sherman, “brutally assaulted her” at the Bad Boy Records studio in New York City around the summer of 2001.
In “The Fall of Diddy,” Graves recounted receiving a call from Combs shortly after the alleged assault, where he supposedly told her to remain silent.
Graves mentioned that she later moved out of New York and “vanished for a few years,” noting that Combs’ alleged misconduct caused her extreme emotional turmoil.
“I was a complete wreck, barely holding onto my sanity, struggling to deal with being assaulted, raising a child, and battling depression,” Graves expressed. “It felt like each day was a fight just to stay alive.”
Diddy’s ex-girlfriend claims he threatened to deport her
An ex-partner of Combs has alleged that he threatened her residency status following their breakup.
Actress Kat Pasion, who had an on-and-off relationship with Combs in the late 2010s, shared that their relationship took a dark turn in 2021 during the making of “The Love Album: Off the Grid.”
Pasion described one evening when Combs, under the influence of the drug Tusi, woke her up and coerced her into nonconsensual sex. “The person who emerged from that bathroom and woke me up was someone I couldn’t even recognize,” she recounted.
A few weeks after that alleged episode, Pasion claimed she received a hostile phone call from Combs, who threatened to have her deported back to Canada. To this, Pasion reportedly called him a “demon.”
“This man has problems,” Pasion stated. “He manipulates his resources and connections, thinking they can fix the horrible things he does to people.”
