Across the nation, various restaurants are celebrating Veterans Day this Monday by showing appreciation for the sacrifices made by veterans and active-duty service members.

This federal holiday occurs every year on November 11 to commemorate the conclusion of World War I, which happened when the Allies and Germany signed an armistice on November 11, 1918. The fighting ceased precisely at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, according to data from the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Most of these discounts require proof of service, such as an ID card for veterans, military members, or dependents, like a Veteran ID Card or DD214, presented at the time of purchase. Many promotions are exclusively for dine-in guests. It’s wise to confirm participation with your local establishment.

Starbucks: Complimentary Coffee on Veterans Day

On Monday, all past and present military members with valid ID can enjoy 10 free boneless wings and fries at Buffalo Wild Wings. This offer is available for dine-in or for walk-in orders at Buffalo Wild Wings Go locations. Applebee’s: Free Veterans Day Menu

Veterans and active-duty military personnel, including members of the reserves and National Guard, can enjoy a free meal at Applebee’s on Monday from a special Veterans Day Menu. This includes options like a 6-ounce Top Sirloin, Classic Bacon Cheeseburger, and Double Crunch Shrimp. Chili’s: Free Meal for Veterans

Chili’s offers all veterans and active military personnel a complimentary entrée on Monday.
