‘SNL’ alum Victoria Jackson shares cancer update, says she has inoperable tumor

Victoria Jackson, known for her role on “Saturday Night Live,” has revealed that she is dealing with an inoperable tumor located in her windpipe.

The comedic actress, who was part of the NBC sketch show from 1986 to 1992, announced the news in an open and honest Instagram post. She humorously wrote, “I have 34.8 months to live unless I face a meteor strike, violence from a MAGA supporter, another COVID infection, or if World War III erupts.”

Jackson, 65, explained, “Surgery isn’t an option to remove the tumor that lays on my windpipe, which could ultimately lead to my suffocation,” in a video shared on Instagram this Wednesday. Previously, she fought breast cancer and mentioned that she has been prescribed medication aimed at reducing the cancer.

She added, “I’m getting a magic pill delivered right to my door within the next 12 hours.”

Reflecting on her life, she told her followers, “I’ve enjoyed a wonderful life,” but emphasized she still has goals she wishes to achieve before her time is up.

Jackson expressed, “I want to witness the birth of my grandson, named Jimmy, in October, and spend some time with him. I also hope to see my daughter, Aubrey, become a mother.”

Known for her support of former President Donald Trump, Jackson’s lively performance style on “SNL” will be remembered, but she has also stirred discussions with her strong conservative viewpoints on various topics over the years.

Recently, she opposed a gay pride parade in Franklin, Tennessee, a wealthy suburb near Nashville, as reported by The Los Angeles Times and the New York Post.

Jackson has a history of making controversial posts, including anti-Islamic content on her personal website. In her August 1 Instagram update, she mentioned that cancer had returned after a nine-year break and included a Bible verse. Her original diagnosis of breast cancer occurred in 2016.
