Walmart’s Holiday Deals Calendar: Key Dates for Incredible Savings!

What are the dates for Walmart Holiday Deals this year? Mark your calendars for major savings!

Walmart has revealed the dates for its Holiday Deals this October as shoppers start their holiday buying earlier than usual.

According to the retailer, the Holiday Deals event will occur from October 8 to October 13.

This promotion will overlap with the second Prime Day sales from Amazon, which will also take place in October, but Walmart’s event will extend longer.

Amazon recently announced that its Prime Big Deal Days will be on October 8 and 9, featuring discounts for Amazon Prime members in the U.S. and 17 other countries.

Latriece Watkins, the executive vice president and chief merchandising officer for Walmart U.S., mentioned in a press release that shoppers are beginning their holiday celebrations earlier, compelling Walmart to adjust its strategy.

“Consumers are still making purchases, particularly for seasonal festivities. They are not skipping moments to come together,” Watkins noted during a conference call with reporters. She emphasized that budget-conscious shoppers come from “all income levels,” pointing out Walmart’s recent price reductions on over 7,200 items.

To assist customers in stretching their budgets, Walmart is also reducing the price of its Thanksgiving meal, which will be available earlier and for a longer duration, according to Watkins.

What to expect from Walmart Holiday Deals?

During Walmart’s Holiday Deals days, customers can expect substantial savings across various categories including electronics, home goods, apparel, and toys. Deals will feature significant reductions like a special TV offer, $300 off a refrigerator, $100 off a gaming laptop, $170 off a powered ride-on toy truck, and $60 off a tool set.

The sale will kick off on October 8 at midnight EDT on Walmart.com and the app. Walmart+ members will enjoy exclusive early access to the best deals, 12 hours ahead of other customers, as stated by the retailer.

On October 9, the deals will also be available in local stores when they open, according to Walmart.

Watkins indicated that the October sale would mark the start of holiday savings, leading up to Walmart’s Black Friday and Cyber Monday events.

Walmart’s inflation-free Thanksgiving meal is available earlier

On Wednesday, Walmart announced its commitment to “eliminate inflation impact by providing a traditional Thanksgiving meal at a lower price than last year to help families gather for the holidays.” This holiday meal serves up to 10 people and features 28 customer-favorite items, including turkey priced under $1 per pound, as well as sides and dessert, costing under $7 per person.

This inflation-free holiday meal will be offered earlier than in previous years, starting from October 14 and available until December 25, both in stores and online at Walmart.com.

This year, customers will have the option to gift a holiday meal for delivery or pickup to friends, family, or neighbors. Additionally, they can also choose to donate a holiday meal’s equivalent to a local family when they purchase a meal on Walmart.com or round up their purchase on the same site.

Walmart’s Thanksgiving hours and delivery details

Walmart announced it will offer early morning deliveries starting at 6 a.m., with express delivery available in as little as 30 minutes. They are also enhancing their artificial intelligence technology to extend delivery services to an additional 12 million households.

Additionally, Walmart will remain closed on Thanksgiving Day.

In light of a potential longshore worker strike that may disrupt operations on the East Coast and Gulf of Mexico starting October 1, Watkins indicated that Walmart is prepared. She stated, “Our teams are closely monitoring the situation, and we hope for a resolution before the month’s end. We create backup plans to ensure we have essential products available for our customers whenever they need them.”
