Just a week prior, Freddie Freeman could hardly walk due to a severe ankle sprain. He had also stepped away for personal reasons this summer while his 3-year-old son was facing health challenges. Yet, on Friday night, in front of a thrilling crowd of 52,394, he delivered one of the most memorable moments in World Series history.
With a single swing, Freeman etched his name into the history books with a walk-off grand slam in the 10th inning, securing a 6-3 win against the New York Yankees in Game 1 of the World Series.
