Amber Heard ‘excited’ about her second pregnancy
Amber Heard is set to become a mother for the second time!
The “Aquaman” actress, aged 38, is expecting her second child, as confirmed by her spokesperson to YSL News on Thursday. She is already the proud mom of a 3-year-old daughter, Oonagh Paige Heard.
“It’s still very early in the pregnancy, so we hope you understand that we can’t share too much at this point,” the spokesperson mentioned. “That said, Amber is overjoyed for both herself and Oonagh Paige.”
Heard previously revealed in July 2021 that she had quietly welcomed her first child three months prior. She shared a photo of herself with her baby on Instagram, expressing that her daughter marks “the beginning of the rest of my life.”
At that time, Heard mentioned that she decided to become a mother four years earlier, but wanted to do it “on my own terms.”
“I find it remarkable that as women, we can contemplate one of the most essential aspects of our lives in such a manner,” she commented. “I hope we reach a time where wanting a crib doesn’t require a ring.”
Since then, Heard has frequently posted pictures with Oonagh Paige on Instagram. On her daughter’s first birthday, she expressed that it was hard to believe her child was already there and reflected on the “greatest year” they experienced together.
Heard was married to Johnny Depp from 2015 until 2017. Their tumultuous relationship became the focus of a widely publicized defamation trial in 2022, where both actors accused one another of abuse during their relationship. Both sides were awarded damages, with Depp receiving over $10 million and Heard receiving $2 million.
Eventually, Heard and Depp reached a settlement, which Heard described as a chance to free herself from a situation she sought to escape for over six years, and on terms she found acceptable. Depp’s attorneys indicated that she would pay $1 million, which he would donate to charity.
“We are glad to finally close this painful chapter for Mr. Depp, who throughout this situation emphasized his priority was to bring the truth to light,” Depp’s legal team mentioned at the time.
