‘Are you ready for it?’: Laura Ingraham invites Taylor Swift to perform at Trump’s inauguration

WASHINGTON – Laura Ingraham, a host on Fox News, has suggested that global music sensation Taylor Swift should perform at the inauguration of President-elect Donald Trump in January. Ingraham believes this could be a meaningful step towards national unity following the contentious 2024 election campaign.

Throughout the past year, Swift and Trump have stood on opposite sides of the political spectrum. Trump’s campaign employed fake AI-generated images of Swift on social media, while the singer encouraged her fans to support Vice President Kamala Harris. In response to Swift’s endorsement of Harris, Trump expressed his disdain on Truth Social, stating, “I hate her.”

On her Thursday segment of “The Ingraham Angle,” Ingraham urged Swift to reach out to Trump with a performance offer, highlighting that it could symbolize a “great moment of unity” in America.

“Come on, Taylor. Are you ready for it?” Ingraham playfully asked, referencing Swift’s popular song, “Ready For It?”

“Anything is possible. It’s nearly Christmas,” Ingraham added. “We’ve witnessed many miracles this year.”

Recently, Swift completed her Eras Tour and celebrated her 35th birthday on Friday. She had previously endorsed President Joe Biden during the election in 2020.

The details of Trump’s 2024 inauguration ceremony have yet to be disclosed. During Trump’s first inauguration in January 2017, performers included Toby Keith, Lee Greenwood, and Jackie Evancho, who performed the national anthem. Neither Trump’s transition team nor Swift’s representatives have commented on Ingraham’s proposal.
