Kristen Bell Playfully Calls Out Dax Shepard for Choosing Football Over Golden Globes: “Priorities!”

Kristen Bell shares Dax Shepard’s Football Distraction at the Golden Globes: ‘Priorities’

Dax Shepard can’t resist watching football, even during one of the most prominent nights in Hollywood.

Kristen Bell posted a video on her Instagram story from the Golden Globe Awards, showcasing her husband engrossed in a football game on his phone amidst the festivities.

In the video, Bell began by capturing the Golden Globes stage while positioned behind presenters Harrison Ford and Anthony Mackie, who were announcing the award for best animated film.

However, during Ford and Mackie’s presentation, Bell directed the camera to reveal Shepard, who was focused on the game streaming on his phone, kept between his legs, while the Lions played against the Vikings.

“#Priorities,” Bell humorously captioned the clip.

They were seated so closely to the stage that viewers could see Shepard glancing down at his phone during the live broadcast. The Lions ultimately triumphed over the Vikings in the match.

Shepard was there to support Bell, who received a nomination for best actress in a comedy series for her role in Netflix’s “Nobody Wants This.” Her co-star Adam Brody, nominated alongside his wife Leighton Meester for best actor in a comedy series, joined her. The show also received a nomination for best comedy series, but unfortunately did not win any awards, with Bell losing to Jean Smart from “Hacks,” best actor going to Jeremy Allen White from “The Bear,” and best comedy series awarded to “Hacks.”

It seems Shepard isn’t the only celebrity whose passion for sports has interfered with awards ceremonies.

Last year, “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” star Rob McElhenney, an avid Philadelphia Eagles supporter, shared a photo of himself watching an Eagles game while attending the Emmy Awards.

“Who schedules the Emmys on the same night as the @eagles? #gobirds #FlyEaglesFly,” McElhenney posted on X.
