WASHINGTON — President Joe Biden, former President Barack Obama, and Bill and Hillary Clinton will be the main speakers at the upcoming Democratic National Convention in Chicago next week, as per a source familiar with the event’s arrangements.

Biden is set to take the stage on Monday night during the convention’s opening, which will honor the 81-year-old president who recently concluded his reelection campaign. Also scheduled to speak on Monday is former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who ran for president in 2016 but was not successful.

On Tuesday night, Obama is anticipated to speak, followed by Bill Clinton on Wednesday night. After him, Tim Walz, the governor of Minnesota and the Democratic vice presidential candidate, will give his address. The convention will conclude with Kamala Harris delivering her acceptance speech on Thursday night.

NBC News has reported that Jason Carter, the grandson of former President Jimmy Carter, will speak on behalf of his grandfather. The final lineup of speakers for the DNC is still being finalized, and a complete list will be shared later.

The convention will mark the end of Harris and Walz’s bus tour named “on the Road to Chicago,” which will start in Pittsburgh on Sunday. During the journey, the candidates and their spouses will engage with voters at community canvassing events and visit local businesses.

Harris also plans to host a rally mid-week at the Fiserve Forum in Milwaukee, the same venue for the Republican National Convention, on Tuesday.
