Actress Mindy Kaling took the stage to host part of the third night of the Democratic National Convention, making lighthearted jokes while introducing guest speakers.

She shared a memory of cooking dosas with Vice President Kamala Harris and humorously expressed her desire to become the ambassador to Italy.

In a popular clip circulating online, she expressed her love for her home state of Massachusetts.

“I adore you, Massachusetts! Everyone criticizes us, but they just don’t understand! Go Sox! Go Jayson Tatum! Ben Affleck, stay strong,” she exclaimed. “Dunkin Donuts has the best coffee in the world!”

Affleck’s wife, Jennifer Lopez, recently filed for divorce on Tuesday, marking the second time their on-and-off relationship has come to an end. Photos of Affleck looking downcast frequently circulate online.

The convention is scheduled to run from Monday to Thursday at the United Center, home to the Chicago Bulls and Blackhawks. Chicago has hosted the Democratic Convention 11 times, with the most recent event in 1996, where President Bill Clinton was nominated for a second term at the United Center.
