Popsicles flavored like Jolly Rancher pulled from shelves due to possible milk contamination
About 137,000 cases of popsicles are being recalled due to the risk of containing milk, which is not mentioned on the packaging.
On August 21, Unilever announced the recall of its Jolly Rancher Frozen Confection Pops, highlighting possible risks for individuals with severe milk allergies who might consume these products.
The U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) mentioned in its recall announcement that there have been reports of two allergic reactions related to these popsicles. So far, no other products from Unilever have been recalled.
The affected popsicles are single-serving items typically sold at locations like ice cream trucks, concession stands, and grab-and-go freezer sections across the United States, as noted by the FDA.
This recall does not affect the multi-pack Jolly Rancher-flavored popsicles available in grocery stores and other retailers nationwide.
The possibly contaminated popsicles were distributed from February 1 to August 15.
