Jeff Bezos’ Star-Studded Review of Lauren Sánchez’s Book: What Rating Did He Give?

Jeff Bezos leaves a review for Lauren Sánchez’s book: What rating did he give it?

Jeff Bezos, the creator of Amazon and its current executive chairman, doesn’t frequently write reviews for products on his platform.

However, when it comes to his fiancée Lauren Sánchez, that’s a different story.

Sánchez has recently published a children’s book titled “The Fly Who Flew to Space” (32 pp, The Collective Book Studio), which launched earlier this month and has already made it onto both the YSL News Best-seller list and The New York Times children’s picture books best seller list.

It currently holds a 4.9 out of 5 stars rating on Amazon, highlighted by a particularly brief yet pointed review.

On September 18, Bezos wrote, “This is the best children’s book my fiancée has ever written.” Sources confirmed that his review was a verified purchase, granting it five stars and humorously titled “Six stars.” One might assume he received an advance copy.

Notably, Bezos has only written nine product reviews on Amazon in total; his last one dated back to 2006, when he rated milk with five stars and commented, “I love milk so much that I’ve been drinking it since the day I was born. I don’t think it was Tuscan though.” He has also reviewed a book about the solar system, cookies, cheese snacks, and binoculars.

Lauren Sánchez encourages children to aim high

This delightful and engaging book conveys an uplifting message that parents everywhere hope their children embrace: Anything is achievable. Stay curious. Dream big. The book is available in both Spanish and English.

The story features Flynn, a fly who faces challenges in school but discovers a passion for space. According to Sánchez, a pilot, the concept originated from an incident where a fly got trapped inside the cockpit of a plane she was piloting with her children.

As she penned the tale, she decided that the fly should soar even higher than an airplane and travel to space. Her recent inspiration also comes from Bezos, who heads the private space company Blue Origin. He even makes a cameo as a fly on page 2.

“Being around someone who is so committed to pushing the limits of exploration is incredibly motivating for our family,” she shared. “Our discussions at dinner often center around space and innovation. He really encourages us to reach for bigger dreams. At the dinner table, I was sharing an idea and he said, ‘No, dream bigger. Go bigger.’ So it’s no wonder that some of that enthusiasm made its way into Flynn’s journey.”

Sánchez has spent the past few weeks promoting the book through children’s events at bookstores and garnering celebrity support from stars like Jessica Alba and Eva Longoria.
