Week 4 Fantasy Football Rankings: Key Players, Sleepers, and Injury News
So far this season, many NFL teams seem to favor running plays over passing, with standout running backs like Saquon Barkley and Alvin Kamara topping fantasy scoreboards after the initial three games. Will this week see quarterbacks and wide receivers elevate their performances?
The Week 4 fantasy football rankings are calculated using point-per-reception (PPR) scoring, commonly adopted in both seasonal and daily fantasy formats. In this system, one point is given for every 10 rushing and receiving yards, and one point for every 20 passing yards. Touchdowns score six points, while passing touchdowns earn four points and receptions each earn one point.

Quarterback Rankings for Week 4
- Jordan Love (knee) is expected to participate in practice on a limited basis, just over two weeks after suffering a sprained MCL in the first game. It looks likely that he may return sooner than anticipated.
- Brock Purdy has back soreness, but it seems unlikely this will affect his playing status for Sunday.
- Justin Herbert’s ankle X-rays came back negative after he had to leave last week’s game. If he cannot play, Taylor Heinicke will step in as the starting quarterback.
Running Back Rankings for Week 4
- Kenneth Walker (oblique) and Joe Mixon (ankle) are feeling positive that taking a week off will aid their recovery. Both were doubtful earlier this week and were inactive during Sunday’s games. Keep an eye on their participation in practices.
- Jaylen Warren (knee) had to exit last Sunday’s game early. He will also have limited practice to begin the week.
Wide Receiver Rankings for Week 4
- A.J. Brown (hamstring) has missed two games in a row but may be ready to play in Week 4. Meanwhile, his teammate DeVonta Smith is currently in the concussion protocol after receiving a hard hit during the game against the Saints.
Tight End Rankings for Week 4
- Sam LaPorta has a low-ankle sprain but could possibly play this week. He left the game on Sunday twice but returned, though he had minimal stats (two receptions for 36 yards).
- Trey McBride exited his game on Sunday due to a head injury. He needs to pass through concussion protocol before he can play against the Commanders.
