Exclusive Deleted Scene of Deadpool by Ryan Reynolds Takes a Jab at Marvel Films

In “Deadpool & Wolverine,” Ryan Reynolds’ endearing anti-hero takes numerous potshots at other Marvel characters and their films. If you’re eager for more, we have an exclusive sneak peek for you.

This summer’s hit will be available for digital purchase starting on October 1. YSL News is premiering the first deleted scene from the movie, showcasing Reynolds in his iconic scarred character, Wade Wilson.

In this self-aware superhero adventure, Wade has traded in his superhero suit to pursue a career in sales. However, he ends up getting captured by the Time Variance Authority and is given a chance to become a hero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Sacred Timeline, thanks to Mr. Paradox, played by Matthew Macfadyen. This new deleted scene builds up to a moment where Wade and Paradox enter an elevator together.

“It might be surprising for a self-absorbed, rambling creature like you, but your universe isn’t the only one out there,” Paradox says in a smug tone.

“Oh, give me a break. You think I haven’t watched Doctor Ant and the Quantumverse of Madness?” Wade sarcastically retorts, referencing MCU films “Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness” and “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.”

The digital and Blu-ray/DVD release, set for October 22, will also include additional features such as deleted scenes featuring supporting characters, TVA agent B-15 (Wunmi Mosaku) and Deadpool’s friend Peter (Rob Delaney), a blooper reel, commentary from Reynolds and director Shawn Levy, insights on special cameos, and a public service announcement with Deadpool encouraging Hugh Jackman to get a routine checkup for testicular cancer.
