Miami Dolphins to start Tyler Huntley at quarterback against Titans

The Miami Dolphins have decided that Tyler Huntley will be the starting quarterback for their upcoming Monday night matchup against the Tennessee Titans, as announced by the team on Saturday.

Skylar Thompson, the backup, started last week’s game, where the Dolphins suffered a 24-3 defeat to the Seattle Seahawks, but had to leave due to a rib injury. Tim Boyle will take over as the backup quarterback for the Titans game, marking Miami’s quest to break a two-game losing streak.

“It’s clear to see that since he joined the team, and especially during this week of practice, Snoop has a lot of experience from starting in important games,” Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel stated. “He understands what it takes as a quarterback to earn the trust of teammates while stepping into someone else’s role, showcasing his unique style and skill set within the offense to lead the team.”

Tyler Huntley, who is 26 years old, was brought on board by Miami from the Baltimore Ravens’ practice squad after Tua Tagovailoa was placed on injured reserve due to a concussion.

During his four seasons with the Ravens, Huntley has a starting record of 3-6. Over his career, he has accumulated 1,957 passing yards, eight touchdown passes, and seven interceptions, alongside 509 rushing yards and three rushing touchdowns.
