Wendy’s is making the Krabby Patty a reality, with its debut in restaurants this week.

Last week, the company revealed its partnership with Paramount to celebrate the 25th anniversary of “SpongeBob SquarePants.” This collaboration introduces the “Krabby Patty Kollab,” featuring two special menu items that will be available for a limited time at Wendy’s:

• Pineapple Under the Sea Frosty: A classic vanilla Frosty swirled with pineapple mango puree − marking a unique Frosty flavor debut.
• Krabby Patty Kollab Burger: Wendy’s version of the beloved cartoon burger, featuring a quarter-pound beef patty, two layers of melted American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, and a “secret Krabby Kollab sauce” on a toasted bun.

Both items will be available starting Tuesday, Oct. 8, at Wendy’s locations across the country, according to last week’s announcement.

Additionally, select customers visiting an “immersive Wendy’s drive-thru experience” in Panorama City, Los Angeles, can enjoy the new Krabby Patty beginning Monday, Oct. 7.

The announcement stated that “The Krabby Patty Kollab” program is the first time food inspired by the “SpongeBob SquarePants” Krabby Patty is being featured on actual menus. The beloved animated series first aired on Nickelodeon in 1999.

“It’s fitting that two of the most iconic elements in pop culture are joining forces to create a taste experience that will delight fans across generations!” said Lindsay Radkoski, U.S. Chief Marketing Officer for Wendy’s, in the press release.

“‘The Krabby Patty Kollab’ is another creative approach to continue the grand 25th anniversary celebration of ‘SpongeBob SquarePants,’ bringing Bikini Bottom to life more vividly than ever,” stated Dario Spina, CMO of Paramount Brand Studio, in the press release.

What’s included in the ‘top-secret’ Krabby Patty sauce?

The announcement listing the burger’s ingredients sparked curiosity among fans about the contents of the secret sauce.

In response, Wendy’s provided this clarification:

“Our top-secret Krabby Kollab sauce is a closely guarded recipe that guarantees the first bite of the Krabby Patty Kollab Burger is a memorable experience for both ‘SpongeBob SquarePants’ enthusiasts and Wendy’s diners alike,” a Wendy’s representative mentioned in an email to YSL News on Friday.

Much like Mr. Krabs preserves the secret formula of Krabby Patty in the animated series, Wendy’s intends to keep the sauce’s recipe under wraps.
