Unlocking the Secrets of Silkworm Moths: A Leap Forward in Robotic Odor Detection

Researchers explore how the domesticated flightless silkworm moth (Bombyx mori), a prominent insect model in olfactory research, uses wing flapping to manipulate airflow, enhancing their ability to detect distant pheromones. These findings highlight how moths guide pheromones to their odor sensors in antennae, and suggest potential applications for designing advanced robotic systems for odor source

T.I. Declares His Farewell to the Stage: I’ve Had Enough

T.I. announces he is stepping back from live performances: ‘I’ve had enough’

T.I. is set to end the year with his farewell performance.

The Grammy-winning artist shared his plans to retire from live performance during a chat with Atlanta radio station 96.1 The Beat on Thursday. He is scheduled to perform at the station’s Jingle Ball concert on December 19.

“I’m grateful for this last opportunity, but I don’t need the money anymore, and I’ve decided to step away from performing,” T.I. mentioned. “I just don’t want to do it anymore.”

The hosts of The Beat, Sean Ferrari Simmons and BT, were taken aback by T.I.’s announcement. He clarified, “I don’t want fans to pay me to perform anymore; hopping around for their entertainment is no longer my thing.”

During the interview, T.I. was accompanied by fellow rapper Young Dro, a member of the Pimp Squad Click. When asked if he would keep performing with the group he co-founded in 2001, T.I. humorously replied, “Absolutely! I’ll just be answering the phone to say I’m not performing.”

The rapper, born Clifford Joseph Harris Jr. in Atlanta, made his debut with the 2001 album “I’m Serious.” T.I. has released a total of 11 studio albums, including the hugely successful “Paper Trail,” which went quadruple-platinum.

His most recent album, “The L.I.B.R.A.” from 2020, reached No. 9 on Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, featuring the hip-hop hit “Pardon” with Lil Baby.

This retirement announcement comes on the heels of T.I. and his wife Tiny Harris’s recent legal success, as they were reportedly awarded $71 million in a lengthy lawsuit against MGA Entertainment, a toy company accused of infringing on the intellectual property rights of their teen girl group, the OMG Girlz.
