Heidi Klum and her eldest daughter, Leni Olumi Klum, have once again collaborated for a modeling project.

This mother-daughter pair revealed their latest photoshoot on Monday for Intimissimi, where they showcased stylish looks for fall and winter from the Italian lingerie label. In the photos and a playful video, Heidi sported a wine-colored scalloped bralette alongside “’80s style Brazilian” underwear, while her 20-year-old daughter wore a matching lacy black bra and underwear set.

In a social media post about the campaign, Heidi, aged 51, expressed, “@Leniklum and I had an amazing time shooting this. Look for us on billboards across Germany and on TV!”

Heidi and Leni have been featured in several Intimissimi campaigns over the past two years, including a festive red-themed collection for last Christmas. Leni’s modeling career began in 2020 when she was 16, with her mother helping her during her very first magazine shoot for Vogue Germany.

During a lighthearted video segment for the magazine that accompanied the photos, Heidi jokingly declared that her favorite outfit is “nothing,” explaining, “I usually prefer not to wear much.”

Leni added humorously that she would eliminate “100%” of the clothes in her mom’s wardrobe, emphasizing, “I usually just borrow from (stepfather) Tom (Kaulitz)’s closet instead.”

Social Media Reactions: ‘This is kinda weird’

However, the feedback on Leni’s and the brand’s Instagram posts has not been all positive.

In response to a video of them playfully spinning in their Intimissimi outfits, numerous social media users criticized the portrayal of a mother and daughter in lingerie together.

“This feels really strange and inappropriate,” one commenter remarked. Another user agreed: “This is pretty weird.”

A particularly popular comment, with over 6,000 likes, stated, “Going lingerie shopping with your mom seems quite odd.”

Even though Leni was offered modeling jobs early in her life, her mother preferred to shield her from the spotlight. When Leni turned 16, Heidi felt she was “old enough” to step into the modeling world.

“I knew it was only a matter of time before I would start modeling. I got my first offer at around 12 or 13 from a brand I loved, Brandy Melville. I begged my mom for it, but it was a no-go,” Leni told Vogue Germany in 2020. “Now I realize it was for the best, as it was too early back then.”

Leni is Heidi’s only child with Italian businessman Flavio Briatore, while British singer Seal adopted her during his nearly decade-long relationship with Heidi, which also produced three children: Lou, Johan, and Henry.
