Adele and Celine Dion Share Tearful Moment at Vegas Residency Concert, Delight Fans

The reigning queens of Las Vegas residency had a heartfelt moment on Saturday night at Caesars Palace.

Adele immersed herself among her fans at her Colosseum concert during the song “When We Were Young,” where she noticed Celine Dion quietly seated in a box near the soundboard. A video shared by @sophxadelexf1 on X captured the emotional exchange. Both singers were moved to tears as they hugged, held hands, and shared intimate words. At one point, Dion tenderly held Adele’s face, pressed her hand to her cheek, and kissed it, before leaning in for a final conversation.

“Let’s hear it for Miss Celine Dion!” a tearful Adele, 36, told the audience after returning to the stage. Dion, 56, stood and waved to the crowd, then returned to her seat while dabbing her eyes with a tissue, comforted by her twin sons, 14-year-old Nelson Angélil and Eddy Angélil. The crowd erupted in applause and gave a standing ovation, and in one video, fans were heard exclaiming, “Oh, my God!” as the touching moment unfolded.

Both artists looked stunning during their interaction, taking place in the venue that hosted Dion’s 2003 A New Day residency. Adele wore an elegant black gown with a portrait neckline adorned with sparkling black embellishments, with her long hair flowing freely. Dion dazzled in a chic black gown featuring an asymmetrical shoulder detail, complemented by a dramatic choker and her hair styled in a sleek bun.

“This performance was absolutely incredible,” commented @plumeria_89 on Adele’s Instagram post showcasing photos from the night.

“Wow, seeing Celine emotional is beautiful. It’s heartwarming to witness gratitude among celebrities. What a moment,” wrote @heypierreking on X.

Dion has been dealing with stiff person syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that leads to severe muscle spasms, since 2022. This condition has prevented her from performing, except for a recent appearance at the opening ceremony of the Paris Olympics.

Adele’s last show for Weekends With Adele is scheduled for November 23, after which she plans to take an “incredibly long break.”

“I have dedicated the last seven years to building a new life and I want to embrace it now,” she shared with fans at a concert in Munich in August, revealing her intention for a hiatus. “I want to enjoy this life I’ve been creating, and I will miss you all dearly.”
