Former President Donald Trump is making a return to the White House, prompting reactions from various celebrities.
Trump has secured his position as the 47th president of the United States, marking an astonishing comeback for a figure previously convicted on 34 felony counts and twice impeached, once following his refusal to acknowledge his loss in 2020. Numerous high-profile celebrities supported Democratic nominee Kamala Harris and expressed their shock and dismay over her loss, while others celebrated Trump’s landmark victory.
In an Instagram story, Cardi B, who backed Harris and attended rallies for her, posted a video of herself watching the election results with a distressed expression. “I hate yall bad,” the rapper commented.
On the other hand, podcaster Joe Rogan, who endorsed Trump just before the election, broadcasted a video of himself ardently reacting to Trump’s victory speech, with laughter heard from someone nearby.
UFC CEO Dana White, also a Trump supporter, spoke at the president-elect’s victory rally on Wednesday, thanking “the mighty and powerful” Rogan for his backing.
Adam McKay considers leaving the Democratic Party after Harris’ loss

In other posts, the “Community” star stated, “America is finished,” adding that “any hope for what this country could become is lost.”
Christina Applegate expressed her bewilderment on X, revealing that her daughter was disturbed by Trump’s victory. “Why? Please give me your reasons?????” the star from “Dead to Me” questioned. “My child is crying because her rights as a woman are at risk. Why is this happening? If you disagree, feel free to unfollow me.”
Andy Cohen chimed in, humorously referencing Trump’s unfounded allegations of election rigging in 2020. “So the election ISN’T rigged????” the “Watch What Happens Live” host tweeted.
Stephen King voices concern for democracy as others reflect on Trump’s election
Stephen King shared his worries regarding the state of democracy in his reaction on X. He noted that there’s a saying in stores with fragile items: “LOVELY TO LOOK AT, DELIGHTFUL TO HOLD, BUT ONCE YOU BREAK IT, THEN IT’S SOLD.” He mentioned that this could apply to democracy as well.

Sophia Bush sarcastically remarked that voters did an excellent job empowering “the MAGA gang” and suggested that racism and misogyny were factors in Harris’ loss.

On the flip side of the political spectrum, “Shazam!” actor Zachary Levi, who backed Trump, expressed his gratitude on X, stating he was “incredibly thankful for everyone who saw through all the noise and chose to vote for” the Republican candidate.

Reality star Savannah Chrisley celebrated Trump’s victory on her Instagram, sharing a video of herself in a Trump sweatshirt, exclaiming, “We did it,” as she watched his victory speech.
Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy, who stated he supported Trump, concluded his remarks by saying the former president’s success was due to the Democratic party failing to engage independents and moderates. “Their campaign was the worst, and their arrogance and sense of moral superiority have pushed people away,” he explained. “If you say you support Trump, suddenly you’re labeled as a Nazi or Hitler—enough of that.”
Portnoy continued, “By acting as if they are superior to us, they have alienated many middle-ground voters who feel insulted.”
