Paul Rudd hands out water to Philadelphia voters: ‘They’re doing really great things’

On Election Day, the beloved Marvel superhero Paul Rudd stepped in to help voters in a key state.

During a live segment on MSNBC, the 55-year-old actor known for “Ant-Man” and “Only Murders in the Building” was seen distributing packs of water to voters waiting in line at a polling site at Temple University in Philadelphia.

When approached by NBC News Political correspondent Jacob Soboroff, Rudd shared, “I just wanted to give people water. They’ve been standing in line for a long time, and it’s uplifting to see so many young people participating in voting.”

As reported by the Philadelphia Inquirer, waits at the polls around Philadelphia college campuses stretched to two hours. Rudd also took the time to visit Villanova University.

“We’ve been engaging in multiple activities here in Pennsylvania today, and we want to show these students that their efforts are really significant,” Rudd said.

Recently, many of Rudd’s fellow “Avengers” actors rallied behind Vice President Kamala Harris’s presidential campaign in a video shared by Robert Downey Jr., who plays Iron Man.

In this engaging video chat, Downey, Don Cheadle, Scarlett Johansson, Mark Ruffalo, Paul Bettany, Danai Gurira, and Chris Evans debated catchy phrases for the Harris-Walz campaign.

The Avengers team, including Rudd, also came together for an online fundraiser in support of Joe Biden and Harris’s 2020 campaign.

The night before Election Day, notable celebrities such as Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Christina Aguilera, James Taylor, Jon Bon Jovi, and Ricky Martin supported Harris with performances.

These artists energized fans nationwide, explaining their reasons for voting for Harris. “Kamala Harris stands for us. She represents unity and the needs of all Americans,” Martin stated to a crowd in Philadelphia. Aguilera prompted her fans in Las Vegas to “vote for freedom.”

In Philadelphia, Gaga introduced Harris’s husband, Doug Emhoff, and performed “God Bless America.” She remarked, “Historically, women have lacked a voice in this country. Yet, we have been caregivers, held families together, and supported men in decision-making. Tomorrow, women will help shape this decision.” Gaga expressed her belief that Harris would be a president “for all Americans.”
