Pascal Exits Joan’s ‘Golden Bachelorette’ as the ‘Chosen One’: Insights from the ‘Men Tell All’ Special

Pascal left Joan’s ‘Golden Bachelorette’ because he felt he was ‘the chosen one’: Highlights from ‘Men Tell All’

In the last segment, we saw Joan Vassos, the stunning Golden Bachelorette, seemingly adrift in Tahiti as she coped with Pascal’s shocking decision to exit the show while on a cruise ship.

If you were anticipating sadness, outbursts, or tensions between Joan and Pascal—or even with the other rejected contestants during the “Men Tell All” episode on ABC—disappointment awaits. There were no dramatic showdowns.

Instead, “Golden Bachelorette” showcased a heartfelt atmosphere, with the men warmly welcoming Joan, 61, and showing camaraderie through what can be described as Sensitive Man Hugs. While there were tears, they were tears of joy, rather than sorrow for Joan, whose only real dilemma was choosing her bold Cult Gaia dress.

Pascale, 69, the former hairstylist from Chicago, also wore a cheerful grin on his freshly shaven face when he wasn’t seated on the slightly uncomfortable hot seat discussing matters with host Jesse Palmer.

Here are some of the delightful moments that stood out:

Charles wins over Bachelor Nation as viewers want him as the next Golden Bachelor

A standout moment was the enthusiastic reception for Charles L., 66, a retired data analyst from Philadelphia. He already had a fanbase, but the unwavering admiration from the audience felt like pure rock-star status, highlighted by a seemingly unscripted shout-out from an enamored fan.

“You’re so sweet; so thoughtful,” she exclaimed to Charles. “On behalf of Bachelor Nation, we think you should be the next Golden Bachelor.”

This wasn’t unfounded praise. The hopeful applause was loud enough to grab the attention of ABC executives. The woman quickly added, “But if not, my mom is single.”

Charles’ infectious charm shone through as he laughed heartily at this. He balances sensitivity with humor, evident when he candidly told Jesse that he had no idea who he was upon arriving at the Bachelor Mansion.

“Jesse, if you don’t mind, I didn’t even know your name,” Charles confessed, prompting laughter from both Jesse and the audience.

There’s an endearing unpredictability to Charles that feels refreshing. It’s amusing to watch Jesse skirt around the topic of Charles’ hair transformation from gray with some color to completely jet-black for the reunion. Apparently, directly asking if he dyes his hair goes against some unwritten rule in reality TV, but Jesse managed to approach it diplomatically.

Charles humorously claimed his youthful hair appearance was attributed to “the food I ate when I was away.”

His lovely daughter Sophia also caught the attention of the show’s producers, receiving more screen time than other contestants like recently eliminated Jordan, 61, a sales manager from Chicago.

Sophia shared her observations about her dad’s newfound confidence since filming began. She noted how he turned into a dance floor star at a family wedding, a significant shift for someone who had previously shied away from the spotlight.

“At a recent wedding in London, as soon as the dance floor opened, he was right in the center,” Sophia said, with a clip of the dancing Charles shown to the audience. Charles’ journey has charmed fans, who are more than eager for a season featuring him.

Pascal explains his exit from Joan on ‘Men Tell All’

Just a week ago in TV time, Pascal abruptly left Joan’s side, leaving her disappointed after he became overwhelmed during Fantasy Suites. Following Mark’s exit in Episode 5, this trend of self-eliminations is alarming. It’s prompting the remaining contestants—only two left—to reconsider their decisions!

Pascal expressed regret during his chat with Jesse, saying, “I hope I didn’t hurt her; that was not my intention.” To Joan’s credit, she didn’t hold resentment against Pascal when it was her turn to address the situation.

“I wish nothing but the best for Pascal,” Joan later told YSL News. “It was hurtful and surprising, I’ll admit. But he recognized he wasn’t ready for this, and ultimately, he made the right choice.”

Pascal also shared, “I feel very confident that I was ‘the chosen one,’ but realized I wasn’t where she needed me to be. So I decided it was best to step away.”

As for his new clean-shaven look, Pascal clarified, “I shaved because I’m the oldest guy here. I thought looking younger wouldn’t hurt.”

Secrets from ‘Golden Bachelorette’ Uncovered: Including Missing Golden Pants

The recent episode of “Men Tell All” revealed the scandalous fourth episode of the season, where the “Golden” seniors participated in a strip competition for Joan.

One standout participant was Jonathan, a 61-year-old shipping consultant from Oakland, Iowa, who showcased his stripping talents. He admits to having some previous experience in this area, although he clarifies that he hasn’t performed “professionally.”

Jonathan shared with YSL News that during his mid-20s, he auditioned for a show in Kansas City. “I thought I did well,” he recounted. “But unfortunately, I didn’t get the role.”

Regarding the memorable golden pants he wore while dancing for Joan, Jonathan noted, “I actually gifted those to Joan. If she wants to auction them for Stand Up To Cancer, that’s fine with me.” (Please note: only credit card payments will be accepted.)

Who Remains on ‘Golden Bachelorette’?

Absent from “Men Tell All” were the two last remaining contestants: Guy, a 66-year-old emergency room doctor from Reno, Nevada, and Chock, a 60-year-old insurance executive hailing from Wichita, Kansas.

Joan hinted that the drama is far from finished, stating to YSL News, “Every ‘Bachelor’ series has its twists. Expect plenty of tears and emotions, but ultimately, there will be happy moments too.”
