The wait is finally over. The Dutton family returns!

The Paramount Network revealed in June that the second part of Season 5 is set to debut on Sunday, Nov. 10 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. This popular series follows the Dutton family, who manages the largest contiguous cattle ranch in the U.S. Initially portrayed by Kevin Costner, the family’s head, John Dutton III, will not be part of the second half of this season after Costner announced in June that he would be exiting the show.

The series’ synopsis reads: “With shifting alliances, unsolved crimes, emotional scars, and hard-won respect, the ranch continually faces challenges from its neighbors – an expanding town, an Indian reservation, and America’s first national park.”

Viewing information for ‘Yellowstone’ Season 5, Part 2 premiere

The show will air on Sunday, Nov. 10 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on the Paramount Network, with a repeat airing on CBS at 10 p.m. ET.

Unfortunately, the “Yellowstone” premiere will not be available for streaming on Paramount+, as the platform has confirmed this show is not included in any of its subscription plans. However, viewers can watch it on Paramount Network if they log in using their TV provider credentials.

Internationally, the show will premiere on Paramount+ in Canada on Nov. 10, while it will be available in the U.K. on Nov. 11, and in Latin America, Brazil, and France at a later date.

The show’s official YouTube channel released a behind-the-scenes glimpse of how the cast and crew prepared for Season 5.

Why has Kevin Costner exited ‘Yellowstone’?

“I just wanted to let you all know that I won’t be coming back,” Costner expressed in a video shared on his Instagram as Paramount Network announced the premiere date for the final episodes of “Yellowstone.”

In a subsequent interview, Costner told YSL News that he was weary of waiting for the possibility of a return to “Yellowstone” while promoting his Western film series, Horizon.

In nearly every interview he did, questions about John Dutton’s return were common, as Costner added.

“With all the inquiries being made about ‘Yellowstone,’ the more I considered it. I wanted to make it clear that this is a conclusion point,” Costner stated. “What I hoped for might not be feasible after all. I don’t want to keep saying, ‘Yes, I hope I can do it.’ That has become unrealistic.”

Costner explained that there wasn’t a particular trigger that led him to make the video about his departure, as he didn’t want to linger on a possibility that wasn’t there.

“I just wanted to get it done,” he remarked regarding the video. “I am not a machine trying to sort this out. But I also don’t want to leave anyone hanging.”
