Todd Golden remains as Florida basketball coach amid sexual harassment investigation
Todd Golden, the men’s basketball coach at the University of Florida, will continue his role with the Gators despite being involved in an ongoing Title IX investigation regarding his conduct.
On Sunday evening, the university released a statement affirming that there will be no changes to Golden’s position following a complaint that includes allegations of sexual harassment, sexual exploitation, stalking, and cyberstalking, involving several women.
Golden is set to be present on the sidelines as the Gators, who hold a 2-0 record, face off against Grambling State on Monday night.
A formal Title IX complaint was filed on September 27, but it only became public knowledge on Friday, when the university’s student newspaper, The Alligator, broke the news backed by testimonies from two former students.
In his three years at UF, Golden boasts a record of 42 wins and 29 losses and led the team to an appearance in the NCAA Tournament last season.
