Kid Rock tells fellow Trump supporters ‘most of our left-leaning friends are good people’

Kid Rock has mixed feelings about the recent presidential election outcome and is open about sharing them.

The 53-year-old artist, who backs President-elect Donald Trump, posted an Instagram video on Friday reacting to Trump’s electoral victory, presenting two different perspectives: first, as his artistic alter ego and then as his true self.

In the initial part of the video, branded “Kid Rock election reaction,” he appears wearing sunglasses, smoking a cigar, grabbing a microphone, and expressing himself with a lewd gesture.

The scene then transitions to a segment titled “Bob Ritchie election reaction,” using his real name. In this clip, Ritchie appears in casual clothes at the same location, delivering a more thoughtful response, advocating for unity in the wake of Trump’s win.

“First, I want to say to my friends, family, and supporters, this isn’t the moment to boast,” he stated. “We must keep in mind that many of our left-leaning friends are good individuals who share similar life goals as us, but simply have different ideas on how to achieve them.”

He continued, “Now is the time to rise above, to offer an olive branch, and to unite all reasonable citizens of this great nation.”

The video further includes a montage of footage featuring Trump, including moments from the assassination attempt in July, as Ritchie asserts that “together with President Trump, we will make America great again.”

However, not all of Kid Rock’s supporters agreed with his message of reconciliation. One fan commented, “There will be consequences,” expressing disagreement. “This misuse of power needs to stop.”

Another remarked, “The time for cooperation is over. We need to fix our country.”

Kid Rock has been a strong supporter of Trump and performed at the Republican National Convention in July, where he encouraged the crowd to chant, “Fight!” In 2022, he released a song titled “We The People” that criticized Dr. Anthony Fauci, President Joe Biden, and mainstream media.

During that time, Kid Rock mentioned that Trump called him to express his pride over the song. “Take that, trolls, critics, and haters!” he remarked.

Last year, he joined a boycott against Bud Light after a promotion featuring trans influencer Dylan Mulvaney, releasing a video where he shot at cases of the beer.

Notable stars who backed Vice President Kamala Harris include Taylor Swift, Beyoncé, and Eminem, while Trump found support from conservative celebrities like Zachary Levi and Caitlyn Jenner.

In an October Instagram video, Kid Rock expressed his disagreement with Eminem, whom he identified as a friend, and others who supported Harris. However, he acknowledged their courage to advocate for their beliefs, stating, “Having differing views and the freedom to express them is what makes this country great.”
