AC/DC to kick off first US stadium tour in 9 years: Dates and ticket info
For fans ready to rock, AC/DC has an exciting announcement.
The iconic band is set to return to the U.S. in spring for its first headlining tour in nearly a decade, visiting 13 stadiums nationwide.
The lineup, consisting of Angus Young, Brian Johnson, Stevie Young, Matt Laug, and Chris Chaney, will kick off the Power Up tour on April 10 in Minneapolis, making stops in cities like Las Vegas, Pittsburgh, Nashville, and Landover, before concluding on May 24 in Chicago.
Tickets for the concerts will go on sale starting December 6 at noon local time, available at acdc.com.
This marks the first extensive North American tour for the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers since their 2015-16 Rock or Bust tour, during which Johnson had to temporarily leave due to serious hearing problems. Axl Rose from Guns N’ Roses filled in briefly, but Johnson was back with AC/DC for the 2020 album “Power Up.”
The current lineup recently performed at the 2023 Power Trip festival in Indio, California, thrilling fans with hits such as “Back in Black” and “Thunderstruck.”
A previous leg of the Power Up tour was held in Europe, starting in May in Germany and continuing throughout the summer.
Released in 2020, AC/DC’s “Power Up” album debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and included rock hits like “Realize” and “Shot in the Dark.” The album received Grammy nominations for best rock album and best rock performance for “Shot in the Dark.”
