Woman charged with murder in disappearance of roommate, who was last seen on Christmas Day 2022
A woman has been arrested nearly two years after her roommate went missing from their home in Florida.
Gisselle Victoria-Gonzalez, 42, was taken into custody by the Orlando Police and charged with second-degree murder involving her roommate, Runyleidy Medina-Pacheco, according to a police report published on Thursday.
On December 27, 2022, around 1:30 PM, the police received a report about a missing person from an address in Orlando.
As reported by WESH, Medina-Pacheco, originally from the Dominican Republic, had moved in with Victoria-Gonzalez in October 2022.
Authorities indicated that Victoria-Gonzalez knew Medina-Pacheco as an acquaintance from a doctor’s office.
Victoria-Gonzalez reached out to the police, stating she hadn’t seen her roommate since Christmas Day, the authorities said.
During the investigation, police noticed several discrepancies in Victoria-Gonzalez’s account of events.
After securing a warrant to search their residence, officers uncovered substantial evidence indicating that “a violent incident had taken place.”
Further investigation shows that Victoria-Gonzalez moved to Connecticut
The investigation revealed that Victoria-Gonzalez relocated to a different address in Hartford, Connecticut, the police stated.
With the help of the Hartford Police Department, Orlando police were able to find and arrest Victoria-Gonzalez on November 6, 2024.
This arrest followed an additional interview with her during which investigators established probable cause for the murder charge.
As of now, Medina-Pacheco has not been located.

Victoria-Gonzalez is up against several charges, which include:
- one count of second-degree murder
