Dave Grohl reveals he has a new daughter from outside his 21-year marriage, seeks ‘forgiveness’
Dave Grohl, the lead singer of Foo Fighters, is reaching out for “forgiveness” from his family following the arrival of a daughter he had outside his two-decade marriage.
“I’m excited to announce that I’ve welcomed a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage,” Grohl, 55, shared through a statement on social media on Tuesday.
“I am committed to being a loving and supportive father to her. I cherish my wife and children, and I’m doing all I can to rebuild their trust and seek their forgiveness,” his statement added. “Please consider the feelings of all the children as we navigate this situation together.”
Grohl’s representatives opted not to comment further.
The former drummer of Nirvana and founder of Foo Fighters, Grohl has been married to Jordyn Blum since August 2003. The couple tends to keep details of their private life away from the public eye. Together, they have three daughters: Violet, 18; Harper, 15; and Ophelia, 10.
In one of their latest public events, Grohl and Blum were seen at the Wimbledon Championships in London this past July.
The family of five made a rare joint appearance at last year’s Grammy Awards in Los Angeles after Nirvana received an honor from the Grammys for their “significant artistic contributions in the field of recording.”
In February 2023, Grohl, along with Pat Smear and Krist Novoselic, received a lifetime achievement award during the Recording Academy’s Special Merit Award ceremony.
The rock band recently concluded their Everything Or Nothing at All Tour promoting their 2023 album “But Here We Are,” last month.
