Melania Trump Advocates for Abortion Rights in Upcoming Memoir

Melania Trump advocates for abortion rights in her forthcoming memoir, reports The Guardian

WASHINGTON – In her upcoming memoir, former First Lady Melania Trump expresses support for abortion rights, stating that the government should not intervene in a woman’s decision, according to an exclusive report by The Guardian.

“It’s crucial to ensure that women can make choices about having children based on their beliefs without any pressure or interference from the government,” Trump writes in her book titled Melania, which is set to be published on October 8.

Her perspective sharply contrasts that of her husband, former President Donald Trump, who has praised the repeal of Roe v. Wade on the campaign trail and claims to be the “most pro-life president” in American history.

The topic of abortion remains a key issue in the upcoming 2024 election.

“Why should anyone but the woman have the authority to decide what she does with her body? A woman’s basic right to personal freedom allows her to terminate her pregnancy if she chooses,” she adds, according to the report.

YSL News has not been able to independently confirm The Guardian’s report.

In a recent post on X, Trump stated in a video that “without question, there is no room for compromise when it comes to the fundamental rights every woman is born with: individual freedom.”

Donald Trump has had fluctuating opinions on the abortion debate, recently saying on Truth Social that he would oppose a national abortion ban, having previously indicated his support for a 15-week federal abortion ban. He also remarked in April that each state should have the power to dictate abortion laws.
