Transforming Spaces: How a Mobile 3D Printer is Revolutionizing Room Customization

Researchers created MobiPrint, a mobile 3D printer that can automatically measure a room and print objects onto the floor. The team's graphic interface lets users design objects in a space that the robot has mapped out. The prototype, which the team built on a modified consumer vacuum robot, can add a range of objects to

Oliver Hudson Shares His Experience of Growing Up Under the Spotlight as Goldie Hawn’s Son: ‘It Was Overwhelming’

Oliver Hudson shares memories of feeling ‘invaded’ by Goldie Hawn’s fans as a child: ‘I hated it’

Oliver Hudson has opened up about his experiences growing up as the child of Goldie Hawn.

During a recent episode of “Sibling Revelry”, a podcast he co-hosts with his sister Kate Hudson, 48-year-old Oliver discussed the resentment he felt as a kid with a famous parent.

“I often think back to those feelings I had as a young boy,” he shared on the podcast, which included guest Cindy Crawford. “… Fans approaching us for her attention took away from her energy directed at me. It really bothered me.”

He expressed that it was frustrating when fans interrupted their time together.

“It made me really angry when people approached us for autographs and interrupted our moments. It felt like an invasion for me as a young boy who needed his mom.”

While Oliver was upset by these encounters, he noted that his sister seemed to handle it differently.

“For me, it was a negative experience. But Kate was like, ‘Bring it on!'”

Kate Hudson, 45, mentioned that as a famous mom herself, she faces more paparazzi nowadays than casual fans.

<p”When I became famous, it was a whole new world of the internet and paparazzi,” said Kate Hudson. “I would find myself at a restaurant with 20 photographers waiting outside, and cars chasing after me. That wasn’t how I grew up.”

She recalled a moment when she felt incapable of taking her son, Ryder, to the park due to the attention.

<p”I remember crying at the side of the road in New York because we couldn’t get out of the car,” she reflected. “I felt like a failure as a mom because I couldn’t even take him to the park.”

Earlier this year, Oliver Hudson talked about discovering unresolved feelings about Hawn, 78, during a weeklong therapeutic retreat.

<p”I realized that my mother was someone I had a lot of complicated feelings about, which was eye-opening since she was my primary caregiver,” he said during a March 18 podcast episode.

<p”I sometimes felt unprotected, especially when she was busy with work or dating new boyfriends I didn’t get along with. Even though she was an incredible mother, as a child without a dad, I just needed her around more at times,” he elaborated, mentioning his estranged father, Bill Hudson.

Oliver Hudson later emphasized that he didn’t want to suggest there was “trauma” related to how he was raised.
