Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs faces allegations of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old boy in recent lawsuit
Sean “Diddy” Combs has been accused in a new lawsuit of raping and drugging a 10-year-old boy during the mid-2000s.
The civil lawsuit was filed on Monday in New York Supreme Court by an anonymous individual known as John Doe, who is represented by attorney Tony Buzbee from Texas. This information comes from a court document obtained by YSL News. Earlier this month, Buzbee revealed that he is representing 120 individuals with claims of sexual abuse against the controversial music producer.
According to the lawsuit, the boy, who resides in California, met Combs in 2005 when he was an aspiring actor and rapper. The child’s parents had employed an entertainment consultant, who reportedly arranged for them to meet the Bad Boy Records founder in New York.
The lawsuit further states that Combs requested to meet with the boy alone under the pretense of an “audition” at a hotel. After the child performed several rap songs for him, Combs allegedly told him that he could “make him a star.”
“Combs asked (Doe) how badly he wanted to be a star, and what (Doe) would do to achieve that,” the lawsuit claims. In response, Doe said, as any 10-year-old might, that he would “do anything.”
Allegations in the lawsuit assert that Combs, around 35 years old at the time, drugged and sexually assaulted the boy.
On the same day, attorneys from the Buzbee Law Firm, along with Ava Law Group and Curtis Law, filed another lawsuit where an anonymous John Doe alleges that Combs and his bodyguard sexually assaulted him multiple times when he was 17 and auditioning for MTV’s “Making the Band.”
Diddy’s legal team asserts he ‘never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone’
In a statement released to YSL News on Monday, Combs’ lawyers rejected the accusations, expressing their confidence in the facts and the judicial process.
“The attorney behind this lawsuit seems more focused on gaining media attention than seeking the truth, as seen by his frequent press appearances and his 1-800 number,” the statement noted. “As previously stated, Mr. Combs cannot respond to every publicity stunt, especially concerning accusations that are clearly absurd or proven to be false.”
During his press conference on October 1, Buzbee stood before a backdrop displaying a hotline number (1-800-200-7474) for individuals with claims against Combs.
Combs’ attorneys concluded their statement with: “In court, the truth will emerge: that Mr. Combs never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone, whether adult or minor.”
Doe’s lawsuit follows 11 other accusers — also represented by Buzbee — who have made allegations of sexual assault and rape against Combs, including a woman who asserts that Combs raped her during an MTV Video Music Awards after-party in September 2000.
Combs was arrested in September and charged with racketeering, sex trafficking, and facilitating prostitution. He is currently being held at the Special Housing Unit of Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center as he awaits his trial set for May 5. He has consistently claimed his innocence in light of numerous lawsuits claiming he engaged in sex trafficking and assault and has also pleaded not guilty to all federal criminal charges.
Individual accuses Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs of drugging and raping him during childhood audition
After the alleged audition with Combs, the boy claims he was given a soda which made him feel “a little funny.” According to Buzbee, the drink was allegedly mixed with drugs “including but not limited to GHB and/or ecstasy.” GHB, or gamma-hydroxybutyric acid, is often referred to as a “date rape drug” by the Drug Enforcement Administration.
Combs then reportedly urged the boy to come closer before forcing him down and saying something like, “You might have to do things you don’t want to do sometimes.”
Following that, Combs allegedly exposed himself and told the boy to “kiss it,” which the child refused. Ultimately, Combs reportedly forced the boy to perform oral sex. After losing consciousness from the alleged incident, the boy said he awoke to find his pants undone and that he was in pain.
Doe has stated that Combs threatened to harm his parents if he reported the assault. After the incident, when he was taken back to his parents, they noticed the boy was “lethargic and behaving differently.”
Since the alleged assault, Doe claims to have experienced “intense depression and anxiety, leading to feelings of hopelessness and fatigue,” as detailed in the lawsuit.
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs accused of sexually assaulting 17-year-old contestant during ‘Making the Band’ auditions
In a second lawsuit filed on the same day, a different man alleges that Combs sexually assaulted him during his audition for the reality show “Making the Band.”
This reality show franchise, which produced groups such as Danity Kane and Day26, followed the journeys of contestants vying for a chance to enter the music industry.
John Doe’s journey involved trying to create different musical groups. He allegedly took part in a three-day audition for a show around 2008 when he was just 17 years old.
In his initial meeting with Combs, the hip-hop icon reportedly posed “hypothetical questions about managing situations involving sexual pressure” to the young contestant.
“While describing these scenarios, Combs began to sexually assault Doe by touching him both over and under his clothing, including groping and fondling his penis, and instructing him to take his clothes off,” the lawsuit asserts.
Combs is accused of engaging in explicit sexual conduct during the interaction, firmly asserting his influence over Doe’s prospective music career, claiming he had the power to either “make or break” the aspiring artist.
In another session, Combs allegedly instructed the teenager to undress for him, stating that Doe needed to show he could represent a ‘sex idol’ image, which was allegedly essential for the band’s portrayal, according to the lawsuit. Doe further claims he was coerced into performing oral sex on Combs and was also “sodomized” by him.
The lawsuit states that Doe’s audition ended suddenly on the final day when Combs allegedly compelled him to perform oral sex on his bodyguard. As a result, Doe contends he was eliminated from the competition because Combs considered him “untrustworthy” due to his reluctance to have oral contact with the bodyguard.
Due to the alleged assaults, the lawsuit indicates that Doe was “unable to return to the music industry for seven years” and continues to experience “mental and emotional distress.”
