The Century of Celestial Superflares: A Phenomenon Worth Watching

Stars similar to the Sun produce a gigantic outburst of radiation on average about once every hundred years per star. Such superflares release more energy than a trillion hydrogen bombs and make all previously recorded solar flares pale in comparison. This estimate is based on an inventory of 56450 sun-like stars. It shows that previous

Unveiling a New Era: The Exciting Journey of the Next ‘Star Wars’ Trilogy

Exciting news: A new ‘Star Wars’ trilogy is on its way!

The Force has stirred once more.

Lucasfilm is developing a brand new trilogy of “Star Wars” films, with Simon Kinberg on board for writing and producing, according to a source familiar with the plans who spoke to YSL News.

The production is currently at a very early stage, and this trilogy is intended to launch a fresh saga, distinct from the previous Skywalker Saga that encompassed “Star Wars” Episodes I through IX. There haven’t been any details released regarding the story, and it’s unclear whether these films will have corresponding numerical titles like the Skywalker movies.

Kinberg has gained recognition primarily for his contributions to the “X-Men” series, having previously penned multiple films and directed “Dark Phoenix” in 2019. Additionally, he co-created the beloved animated series “Star Wars Rebels,” collaborating with Dave Filoni, who later executive produced “The Mandalorian” and developed “Ahsoka.”

Depending on their release schedule, Kinberg’s films might mark the first new “Star Wars” trilogy after the sequel trilogy that ran from 2015 to 2019, which included “The Force Awakens,” “The Last Jedi,” and “The Rise of Skywalker.” In addition, two standalone films were released in 2016 and 2018: “Rogue One” and “Solo.”

It’s been almost five years since a new “Star Wars” film reached theaters, following the release of “The Rise of Skywalker,” which garnered mixed reviews and varied reactions from fans.

Several “Star Wars” films have been announced and are in various phases of development, though their release remains uncertain. Daisy Ridley is set to reprise her role as Rey in a film where her character will establish a new Jedi Order following the events of “The Rise of Skywalker.” The movie will be directed by Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy.

James Mangold, known for “Logan,” has also been chosen to direct a film exploring the origins of the Jedi. Meanwhile, Filoni is set to direct a movie that is expected to “wrap up the interconnected stories” from Disney+ live-action shows like “The Mandalorian.” Additionally, a movie that continues the story of “The Mandalorian,” titled “The Mandalorian & Grogu,” is planned with director Jon Favreau and is set for release in May 2026.

Lucasfilm has faced challenges in deciding how to successfully bring the franchise back to cinema. Many “Star Wars” projects have been announced but ultimately did not materialize, including a trilogy that director Rian Johnson was supposed to create, which was initially revealed about seven years ago.

In 2020, Patty Jenkins, known for “Wonder Woman,” was also scheduled to direct a film called “Rogue Squadron” that was supposed to premiere in December 2023, but that month has passed without any release. Earlier this year, Jenkins mentioned that she is once again working on the film, but there haven’t been significant updates since then.

Taika Waititi, director of “Thor: Ragnarok,” along with Marvel Studios’ President Kevin Feige, have also been linked to “Star Wars” projects in the past that have yet to be realized.

Currently, “Star Wars” content continues to thrive on television. The next live-action Disney+ series, “Star Wars: Skeleton Crew,” is slated to debut this December.
