Alaska Airlines Flight rerouted: Four crew members fell ill due to smell in the cabin
The aircraft had 119 passengers and a crew of six. Fortunately, neither passengers nor pilots required medical assistance.
According to the airline, four flight attendants on an Alaska Airlines flight developed sudden illness and were taken to the hospital, leading to the diversion of a plane that was headed from Hawaii to Seattle.
The flight, Alaska Airlines Flight 810, departed from Kauai, Hawaii, at 11 p.m. local time on Thursday. Shortly after takeoff, the aircraft was redirected to Honolulu as four flight attendants reported sickness following the detection of an unexplained odor inside the cabin, as per a statement sent to YSL News from an airline spokesperson.
The affected flight attendants were transported to a hospital for medical assessment.
What occurred with the flight?
The aircraft, transporting 119 passengers along with six crew members, was flown back to Seattle with no passengers for a thorough inspection, according to the spokesperson.
The airline successfully managed accommodations for those impacted. There were no reports of illness from any passengers or pilots on the flight.
