Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds donate $1 million to Hurricane Milton, Helene relief fund
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are helping those affected by Hurricanes Milton and Helene.
The Hollywood couple has pledged $1 million to hurricane relief initiatives, earning praise from the food bank organization Feeding America.
“We are grateful to Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds for their generous $1 million donation to our disaster relief fund for Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Their ongoing support for Feeding America during crises has been invaluable for our teams on the ground before, during, and after disasters,” the charity expressed on Instagram on Thursday.
The organization added: “These contributions will enable food banks to deliver essential items like water, unhindered food, and supplies to communities facing profound losses and an extended recovery period.”
This announcement follows the donation from Lively’s close friend Taylor Swift, who contributed $5 million to support Feeding America’s efforts for Hurricane Helene and Milton.
“We are deeply thankful to Taylor Swift for her impressive $5 million donation to relief efforts for Hurricanes Helene and Milton,” stated Feeding America’s CEO Claire Babineaux-Fontenot in an Instagram post on Wednesday. “This donation will assist communities in rebuilding and recovering by providing critical food, clean water, and essential supplies to those impacted by these catastrophic storms.
“Working together, we can make a significant difference in helping families manage the challenges they face,” she continued. “Thank you, Taylor, for your support in the fight against hunger and for assisting communities in need.”
