Cris Collinsworth Set to Extend His Tenure with NBC Sports, According to Reports

 

 

NFL analyst Cris Collinsworth set to extend his contract with NBC Sports, according to reports


NBC’s top team for Sunday night football will remain unchanged for the near future.

 

As reported by The Athletic, NBC Sports is on the verge of finalizing a new four-year contract extension for leading analyst Cris Collinsworth. This extension will keep him with the network until the 2029-30 season, while his current contract is set to expire after the 2026 season.

Over the next six years, NBC will air two additional Super Bowls, including Super Bowl 60 in 2026 and Super Bowl 64 in 2030.

At 65, Collinsworth has earned seven Emmy Awards for Outstanding Sports Studio Analyst and has an annual salary of approximately $12.5 million. He collaborates with Mike Tirico to cover the games.

 

Collinsworth has been part of the “Sunday Night Football” broadcast team since 2009, initially working alongside Al Michaels before Michaels transitioned to Amazon Prime in 2022.
