Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs sued for allegedly threatening woman over a balcony: Reports
A fashion designer is taking legal action against Sean “Diddy” Combs, accusing him of threats and abuse, including an incident where he allegedly dangled her from a balcony on the 17th floor, as reported by Deadline and Rolling Stone.
In the lawsuit filed in Los Angeles this week, Bryana “Bana” Bongolan is seeking $10 million from the well-known music executive. Currently, Combs is detained in a Brooklyn facility as he awaits a federal trial scheduled for May 2025 related to sexual crime charges stemming from his arrest in September.
The complaint states that Combs hung Bongolan over a balcony at the Los Angeles apartment of his former girlfriend, Casandra “Cassie” Ventura Fine, in September 2016.
“The act of dangling someone over a balcony is either meant to kill them or to instill fear and strip them of any sense of control over their own safety,” Bongolan’s attorney, James R. Nikraftar of Miller Barondess, stated in the lawsuit.
Following this incident, the lawsuit alleges that Combs “slammed her into the patio furniture on the balcony.” Bongolan’s claims add to a growing list of over two dozen civil lawsuits filed against Combs in the last year. In addition, she alleges that Combs told her he “could kill” her and referred to himself as the “devil.”
Bongolan’s allegations are similar to those previously made by Ventura Fine in her lawsuit against Combs last November, which was settled the next day for an undisclosed sum.
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ legal representatives respond to the lawsuit
In a statement released to YSL News on Saturday, Combs’ legal team refuted Bongolan’s claims.
“Anyone can file a lawsuit, regardless of the evidence backing their claims,” stated Combs’ legal team. “Since last year, Ms. Bongolan has indicated she intended to sue Mr. Combs and has sought legal assistance to advance her allegations.”
Furthermore, Combs’ team asserted: “Mr. Combs categorically denies these serious accusations and is confident that they will be shown to be unfounded. He trusts completely in the truth and the fairness of the judicial system. In court, the facts will demonstrate that these claims against Mr. Combs lack merit.”
Earlier this year, a video surfaced showing Combs assaulting his then-girlfriend Ventura Fine in March 2016, where he was seen kicking, hitting, and dragging her.
The hotel surveillance footage supports allegations made in Ventura Fine’s lawsuit last November, which accused Combs of sex trafficking, rape, and physical assault.
