Donald Trump Takes on Fryer Duty at Pennsylvania McDonald’s This Sunday

Donald Trump to ‘work the fryers’ at a Pennsylvania McDonald’s on Sunday

Former President Donald Trump is gearing up for another campaign appearance in the suburbs of Philadelphia, specifically at a McDonald’s in Lower Southampton, Pennsylvania, this coming Sunday, according to insider sources.

The 2024 presidential hopeful intends to drop by the fast-food restaurant in the early afternoon, as revealed by a source who remained unnamed due to restrictions on public commentary.

Speculation about Trump’s weekend plans started surfacing earlier this week, including a tweet from CNN, with Levittown Now confirming the visit on Thursday.

This event follows Trump’s recent visit to Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, and comes shortly after his Democratic rival, Vice President Kamala Harris, hosted an event for over 100 Republican voters at Washington Crossing Historic State Park in Upper Makefield.

His campaign schedule indicates that he will also participate in a town hall event in Lancaster at 5 p.m. on Sunday.

A request sent via email for confirmation about Trump’s planned stop in Bucks County went unanswered by his campaign on Thursday afternoon.

Trump has indicated plans to “work the fryer” during this stop, a reference he made at a rally in Indiana, Pennsylvania, last month—an experience Harris noted having herself during her youth.

The McDonald’s Trump aims to visit is situated slightly over four miles from the Trump Store at 2060 Street Road in Bensalem, which has been selling Trump-branded merchandise since its opening in February 2020. As of now, there are no confirmations that Trump will visit the store on Sunday.

This upcoming stop is part of the heightened attention both major party candidates have been giving to the suburbs surrounding Philadelphia, particularly Bucks and Montgomery counties, as they prepare for the November 5 election.

Bucks County stands out as a tightly contested swing county in southeastern Pennsylvania, where the balance between Republicans and Democrats among total voters is nearly even. Given that Pennsylvania holds significant importance in the 2024 presidential race with its 19 electoral votes, both parties are focusing heavily on this region.

In Bucks County, Republicans account for approximately 41.6% of voters, while Democrats make up about 41%. For the first time in over a decade, Democrats lost their voter lead over Republicans in July. Luzerne County shows a mere 0.46% lead for Republicans.

Although Trump has not claimed victory in Bucks County during the last two presidential elections—losing to Clinton by a narrow margin of 48.7 to 47.6 and to Biden by four percentage points at 51%—he maintains a solid base of supporters.

This will be Trump’s second planned visit to Bucks County in nearly two months.

Speculation about a visit to Our Lady of Czestochowa in Doylestown on September 22 faced security concerns, resulting in the event being canceled the Friday prior to the planned Sunday appearance.

In April, Trump visited Bucks County for a private fundraiser at the Newtown Athletic Center, where he was met by enthusiastic supporters along his route to the event. He is anticipated to make another appearance in Bucks County in October.
