Emergency Landing for JD Vance’s Plane in Milwaukee Due to Door Issue
MILWAUKEE − A plane carrying JD Vance, the Republican candidate for vice president, had to make an emergency landing in Milwaukee shortly after taking off on Friday because of a door malfunction, according to the Trump campaign.
The aircraft, a Boeing 737, returned to the Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport shortly after departure, where the issue was resolved, as stated by campaign representative Taylor Van Kirk. Afterwards, the plane continued on its intended route to Cincinnati.
“The pilot indicated that there was a problem with the door seal,” Van Kirk remarked on Friday afternoon.
Vance, who is a senator from Ohio and running alongside former President Donald Trump, was in Milwaukee for a campaign event at the Milwaukee Police Association. He traveled with his wife, Usha, and their German Shepherd, along with several reporters who were on board the flight.
This incident follows another recent issue where a plane carrying Trump had to change its flight path over Montana due to a mechanical problem.
