Lauren Sánchez, Jeff Bezos’ fiancée, dons white for Trump’s inauguration
Lauren Sánchez has taken a cue from Hillary Clinton’s style. Sort of.
The fiancée of Amazon’s founder, Jeff Bezos, wore a white pantsuit to the inauguration of President Donald Trump, which took place in the Capitol Hill rotunda due to the chilly weather in Washington, D.C. This look was reminiscent of the outfit that former Secretary of State Clinton wore at Trump’s first inauguration back in 2017, shortly after losing the 2016 election to him.
Sánchez was among a group of women dressed in white standing close to Trump and his political followers.
Clinton first wore a white pantsuit at the Democratic National Convention in 2016 as a tribute to the suffragist movement. This trend continued during the Women’s March in 2017; a smaller demonstration took place in Washington just this past weekend ahead of Trump’s second inauguration.
As usual, social media users had their say on her fashion choice: one user on X commented, “Lauren Sánchez looks lovely and fitting in her winter white. Plenty of winter white today, and I love it!!” However, others criticized her outfit as being too revealing for the event, a sentiment she has faced regarding her outfit selections in the past.
