Obama Raps Eminem’s “Lose Yourself” at Detroit Rally for Harris

WASHINGTON Former President Barack Obama delivered a rap performance of Eminem’s famous 2002 hit “Lose Yourself” at a campaign rally for Vice President Kamala Harris in Detroit on Tuesday, right after Eminem introduced him to the audience.

This unforgettable moment happened as Obama actively camps for Harris in significant battleground states like Wisconsin, with Election Day fast approaching on November 5.

“I’ve participated in many rallies, so I usually don’t feel nervous. However, I was a bit anxious following Eminem’s performance,” Obama remarked upon taking the stage in Detroit.

“My palms are sweaty, my knees are weak, and my arms feel heavy. There’s vomit on my sweater already, mom’s spaghetti. Though I’m nervous, I appear calm and ready to deliver, but I keep forgetting,” Obama rapped, prompting the crowd to erupt in cheers.

Obama humorously mentioned that he would “exit the stage” if Eminem decided to perform again.

Before Obama took the stage, Eminem urged attendees to vote, emphasizing the importance of Detroit and Michigan in this election cycle. Polls indicate that Harris and former President Donald Trump are in a tight race in Michigan.

“I believe people should feel free to share their views, and nobody wants a country where expressing your opinion leads to fear of backlash,” Eminem said during the rally. “I think Vice President Harris advocates for a future in which these freedoms and many others are safeguarded.”
