Olivia Rodrigo Bounces Back After Concert Mishap

Olivia Rodrigo bounces back after falling through trapdoor during concert

Olivia Rodrigo had a mishap on stage, but thankfully, she wasn’t injured.

The talented singer is currently on her Guts World Tour and took a spill while performing in Melbourne, Australia, on Monday night, marking her final show at Rod Laver Arena for this leg of the tour.

In a clip circulating on social media, the “Obsessed” singer was dashing around the stage when she unexpectedly fell through a trapdoor. However, Rodrigo quickly reassured her audience that she was fine, exclaiming, “Oh my God, that was fun,” and added, “I’m OK.”

She further lightheartedly remarked, “Sometimes there’s just a hole in the stage. That’s all right.”

Once back on her feet, Rodrigo re-energized the audience, asking, “Where was I? How are we doing tonight, Melbourne?”

YSL News has reached out for comments from Rodrigo’s team, Live Nation, and Rod Laver Arena.

The Grammy-winning artist poked fun at her fall with a TikTok post that repeated the moment. She captioned it with “#subtleforeshadowing” and humorously commented later, “I am ok hahaha❤️.”

The Guts World Tour began its North American segment in February, followed by European dates and additional North American shows during the summer.

In a review of her July 20 concert in Washington, D.C., YSL News music critic Melissa Ruggieri stated, “For a high-energy 100 minutes, Rodrigo, her exceptional all-female band, and team of dancers performed a series of energetic guitar anthems and emotional ballads with vigor, charm, and the precision that comes from months of practice.”

“Extraordinarily poised and already skilled in performance, Rodrigo is not just pop music’s leading young star but a performer who connects deeply with her devoted fans,” Ruggieri added.

The Guts World Tour supports Rodrigo’s second album of the same name, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart and earned her six Grammy nominations, including for album of the year.

Next up, Rodrigo is set to perform at the sold-out Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney on Thursday.
