Skai Jackson arrested on domestic battery suspicion following confrontation with fiancé

Skai Jackson was arrested over the weekend after a confrontation involving her fiancé.

The actress, who rose to fame as a child star, was taken into custody on Friday on charges of domestic battery, confirmed a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department to YSL News on Tuesday. Jackson, aged 22, was detained while at Universal Studios Hollywood.

“A domestic incident occurred involving Skai Jackson inside the Universal Studios Theme Park,” stated the LASD spokesperson to the Los Angeles Times. “Preliminary investigations revealed that Ms. Jackson was the main aggressor, leading to her arrest for misdemeanor spousal battery.”

YSL News reached out to both the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office and a representative for Jackson for statements.

According to TMZ, Universal Studios security contacted the police after observing Jackson push her boyfriend several times. Authorities later reviewed the theme park’s surveillance videos, which allegedly captured Jackson’s actions against the unnamed victim, as reported by People magazine and LAT.

No injuries were reported following the incident, according to the LASD spokesperson.

Jackson was then taken to the West Hollywood station of LASD for processing and was released a few hours thereafter.

Jackson is widely recognized for her performances in the Disney Channel sitcoms “Jessie” and “Bunk’d.” She recently appeared in the thriller “The Man in the White Van” directed by Warren Skeels.
