Have you seen? Starbucks has updated its iced coffee blend after 18 years
Starbucks has introduced a new iced coffee blend and recipe for the first time in 18 years.
This update was made on May 7 when the company launched its summer menu, according to a spokesperson for Starbucks.
Although the change was implemented more than five months ago, some coffee enthusiasts have only recently noticed the difference and are discussing it on social media this week.
Opinions are split, with some customers supporting the new blend while others express a preference for the old recipe.
What has changed in the iced coffee blend?
Starbucks now uses a mix of sun-dried Latin American coffees for its iced coffee, as stated by the spokesperson.
Furthermore, the iced coffee will now be served unsweetened to align with customer preferences.
The company noted that a number of customers were customizing their iced coffee by omitting the original syrup. Therefore, they have decided to eliminate the syrup from the new recipe, according to the spokesperson.
The revamped iced coffee blend also includes malted milk chocolate and brown sugar, as per the company’s announcement.
