Stefon Diggs Injury Update: Texans WR Injures Knee Against Colts in Week 8

In the early games of Week 8 on Sunday, several divisional matchups took place, including one in the AFC South. The Houston Texans, who are at the top of their division, faced off against the Indianapolis Colts for the second time this season.

In the third quarter, Stefon Diggs, the top receiver for the Texans, exited the game due to a knee injury. Here’s what transpired and what we know about his current condition.

Update on Stefon Diggs’ Injury

Diggs sustained his knee injury while running a route in the third quarter while attempting to evade Kenny Moore. It was a non-contact injury that occurred when he planted his knee while making a sharp turn.

He injured his right knee during this play; it is the same knee that had sidelined him in 2021 and 2016.

Is Stefon Diggs Expected to Return?

Diggs managed to walk off the field unaided and headed to the locker room.

His return remains uncertain as he is considered questionable after the injury. The team has not yet announced any updates regarding his status. Even though he walked to the locker room, he might have sustained more significant damage and could face a lengthy recovery.

Stefon Diggs’ Performance Stats

In the first seven games of the season, Diggs recorded 42 receptions for 415 yards and scored three touchdowns. Additionally, he had two rushing attempts for 12 yards and one rushing touchdown.

Before his injury, Diggs had made five catches for 81 yards against the Colts.

Texans’ Wide Receiver Lineup
