The Journey of Swifties to the Miami Eras Tour

MIAMI — Thousands of dedicated Swifties made their way from airports, hotels, and vacation rentals to Hard Rock Stadium, celebrating Taylor Swift’s much-anticipated return to North America for the final segment of the Eras Tour.

Swift mentioned that 61,000 fans filled the open-air venue, indicating that over 180,000 tickets were sold and passed through the security checkpoints. Even though traffic was congested on Interstate 95 before and after the three-hour concert, the exuberance of the fans remained unshaken.

Flight Details: Number 1989

On Thursday night, Southwest Airlines launched Flight No. 1989 from Nashville to Miami. The two-hour journey was overflowing with fans heading to Florida, along with songwriter and early era collaborator, Liz Rose.

Rose played a significant role in mentoring and co-writing various songs for Swift’s first two albums, “Fearless” and “Red.” At a recent concert, she took to the stage with a microphone and guitarist, performing tracks such as the fan favorite “All Too Well.” The event took place in Nashville on Saturday night.

“It was incredible to see everyone singing along,” Rose shared with YSL News. “I noticed my daughter on the flight, and when I saw her and another friend crying, I had to fight back my own tears.”

Onboard the flight, Southwest Airlines distributed friendship bracelets, and Rose expressed her appreciation to everyone after disembarking. She is genuinely amazed by the remarkable journey of Swift’s career.

“I feel so proud of her,” she remarked. “I still look at her and think, ‘Wow!'”

Trains: the Brightline Swift Rail

Hop on the Swiftie train! Brightline, a railway company, introduced a special Swift-themed train that travels from Orlando to Miami, stopping in West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale.

The train was filled with Swift’s tunes, with each car representing a different album era. Inspirational quotes and song lyrics adorned the walls and seat backs. The “Speak Now” car featured fake purple flowers and disco moons, while the “Red” area showcased bright red lips and eye-catching iridescent fringe curtains hanging from the ceiling.

“We hopped on at Fort Lauderdale,” said Sarah Stubblefield, who was exploring the train with her friend Taelor Cravey. “Everyone was singing and swapping bracelets.”

“We got quite emotional seeing everything,” Cravey chimed in. “It really set a wonderful tone for our trip to the concert.”

The train arrived at Aventura station, a short 20-minute ride from the stadium. Shuttles were available to transport concertgoers to the arena throughout Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Automobiles: In my Uber Shuttle Era

Uber began testing their Uber Shuttle service for rides to New York’s LaGuardia airport, allowing users to book in advance for rides from Manhattan. During the concert, the ride-sharing app utilized shuttles to transport fans to and from the venue for only $20, which is a more affordable option than a regular Uber ride.

The shuttles featured a large black banner with the phrase, “In my Uber era” in white text. Inside, fans were welcomed with shiny tinsel hanging overhead and butterfly stickers on the windows, while songs by Swift played in the background.

After the concert, the shuttles transported fans to various drop-off locations in Miami’s Brickell, Bayfront, and Fontainebleau areas.

Despite different ways of getting there, all fans shared the same destination.
