Target will remain closed on Thanksgiving: Here are the opening hours for Black Friday

This Thanksgiving, Target will not open its doors for the fifth consecutive year, but customers can look forward to early openings on Black Friday and extended hours over several weeks beginning November 30, according to an announcement made Tuesday.

The retailer will keep its stores closed on Thanksgiving Day, which falls on November 28 this year, allowing employees to enjoy time with loved ones.

Shoppers who order from Target.com or through the Target app on November 28 will be able to pick up their items on Black Friday via Drive Up and Order Pickup services.

When does Target open on Black Friday?

On Friday, November 29, Target stores will start welcoming customers at 6 a.m. local time. Following Black Friday, the stores will extend their hours from 7 a.m. until midnight from November 30 through December 23, as stated in the retailer’s press release.

Exclusive Taylor Swift merchandise at Target

On Black Friday, customers shopping in Target stores can find exclusive items like “Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour Book” along with “The Tortured Poets Department: The Anthology” available on CD and vinyl.

According to Target, there is a purchase limit of four items per guest for the 256-page hardcover book, vinyl, and CD. The retailer will implement various measures to ensure a smooth shopping experience, including an option for those in line to start a digital queue if necessary.

These exclusive items will also be available for purchase on the Target app and Target.com starting early on Saturday, November 30, while stocks last.
