Texas narrowly retains No. 1 position, Oregon follows in NCAA College Football Re-Rank 1-134

Texas remains at the top of the YSL News Sports NCAA Re-Rank 1-134, just ahead of Oregon, following the Ducks’ impressive victory over Ohio State in a significant Big Ten matchup.

This win is considered the standout performance in the season, surpassing Alabama’s notable win against Georgia earlier this month. However, the Longhorns managed to secure a victory in their rivalry contest against Oklahoma, keeping them as the only undefeated team in the SEC and maintaining their top ranking for another week.

In the aftermath of Saturday’s thrilling game, Oregon and Ohio State simply exchanged positions. The Ducks moved up to No. 2 while the Buckeyes fell to No. 3, followed by No. 4 Penn State and No. 5 Georgia. Iowa State advanced to No. 6 after their win at West Virginia, causing Miami to drop one spot to No. 7.

LSU made a significant climb after securing an overtime victory over Mississippi, rising six spots to No. 8. Meanwhile, Alabama and Tennessee fell after narrowly defeating South Carolina and Florida, respectively, with Alabama dropping two spots to No. 11 and Tennessee sliding five positions to No. 13.

This weekend was favorable for the Big 12. Along with Iowa State’s ascent, Kansas State moved ahead of Alabama to No. 10 after a hard-fought win against Colorado. Undefeated Brigham Young surged seven spots to No. 14, and Arizona State climbed 11 spots to No. 19 after their victory over Utah on Friday night.
