Nick Saban Sparks Crucial Discussion in College Football, with Vanderbilt Providing a Bold Response

Opinion: Nick Saban asked important college football question, and Vanderbilt offers a loud answer Nick Saban repeatedly asked one of his favorite rhetorical questions throughout his final season coaching Alabama. “Is this what we want college football to become?” Saban said, when discussing the pay-for-play revolution. It’s not what Saban wanted it to become, and

Travis Kelce’s Possible VMAs Appearance: A Supportive Gesture for Taylor Swift?

Is Travis Kelce going to the VMAs to support Taylor Swift? Here’s what you need to know

Sadly for Swifties, the expectation for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce attending Wednesday’s MTV Video Music Awards for their first appearance together on the red carpet is looking bleak.

After an eventful weekend in New York City that included dinner dates, a wedding at Electric Lady Studios, and the U.S. Open men’s final, Kelce has returned to Kansas City for practice sessions, film reviews, and meetings.

Kelce’s schedule includes a busy day of practices on Wednesday and Thursday, as the Chiefs prepare to face off against their rivals, the Cincinnati Bengals, this Sunday.

A brief background for the new football followers: The Bengals have humorously referred to Arrowhead Stadium as “Burrowhead” since January 2023, teasing that their quarterback Joe Burrow has never lost in Kansas City. This banter took place before the AFC title game. Kelce mentioned “Burrowhead” on his podcast “New Heights,” speaking to his brother

There is plenty of bulletin-board material available.

The Chiefs managed to triumph over the Bengals with a score of 23-20, securing their place in Super Bowl 57 where they competed against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Now, let’s consider how Kelce could make it from Arrowhead Stadium to UBS Arena in time to accompany Swift on the VMAs red carpet. To make this happen, Kelce would need to leave by 3 p.m. CT and have everything go just right to arrive at the very last moment for the red carpet before the show kicks off.

His journey would start with a 20-minute trip from practice to the Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport. A private flight from Kansas City, Missouri, to New York City typically takes around three hours, influenced by factors like weather conditions, traffic, and taxi time. JFK Airport is the most convenient airport near UBS Arena. If Kelce’s flight were to land around 7 p.m. ET, he would then have a 15-20 minute drive to reach the MTV awards event.

The VMAs red carpet event is set to run from 5 p.m. ET (which is one hour ahead of Kansas City) until shortly before the awards are announced. The awards ceremony will be aired from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET. Swift typically appears at the end of the red carpet time slot for photos before heading inside the arena.

The hypothetical situation outlined above ignores the challenges of getting Kelce back home by 2 a.m. CT for his practice session on Thursday, assuming everything goes seamlessly and he leaves right at the end of the broadcast.

Swift is expected to be in attendance and is nominated for 12 awards. She has the potential to make history as the first artist to win video of the year five times and could also become the solo artist with the highest number of Moonman trophies, surpassing Beyoncé who currently holds the solo record with 25 awards.
