Donald Trump Enlists Sylvester Stallone, Mel Gibson, and Jon Voight as Hollywood ‘Ambassadors’

Lights, camera, action.

President-elect Donald Trump has selected a notable group of actors to serve as “special ambassadors,” not for international duties, but impacting the domestic scene.

In a social media update on Thursday, Trump revealed that Jon Voight, Mel Gibson, and Sylvester Stallone will be his representatives for the entertainment industry in Hollywood, which he described as “a wonderful but very troubled place.”

“These incredibly talented individuals will serve as my eyes and ears, and I will take action based on their recommendations. It will once again mirror The United States of America itself, ushering in The Golden Age of Hollywood!” Trump expressed in a statement on Truth Social.

The film and television sectors in the U.S. have encountered significant obstacles recently, including the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, ongoing strikes, and various global issues. It is currently unclear what specific duties these actors will have or the extent of their influence in this new role.

The Trump transition team did not provide an immediate response to inquiries for clarification.

All three celebrities have been outspoken supporters of the Republican president-elect.

In 2019, Voight praised Trump as “the greatest president of this century.” That same year, the actor, known for his role in “Midnight Cowboy,” was awarded the National Medal of Arts by Trump.

Gibson suggested in an October video shared by TMZ that he cast his vote for Trump in the 2024 elections, indicating it would be “a pretty good guess” when asked if he supported the GOP nominee.

“I can only imagine what it would be like if we let her in and it wouldn’t be good,” said Gibson, referring to Trump’s rival, Vice President Kamala Harris.

Completing this star-studded trio, Stallone, famous for his role in “Rocky,” referred to Trump as the “second George Washington” while introducing the president-elect at a gala shortly after his second-term victory. Stallone is also a regular visitor to Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort.

“We’re in the presence of someone truly legendary,” Stallone remarked. “Nobody else could achieve what he has, and that’s why I hold him in such high regard.”
