Donald Trump to attend Steelers vs. Jets ‘Sunday Night Football’ game in swing state

Former President Donald Trump is stepping away from his campaign for a night to enjoy some football.

As the current Republican candidate for president, Trump plans to be present for the Pittsburgh Steelers’ “Sunday Night Football” clash versus the New York Jets at Acrisure Stadium in Pennsylvania, which is a vital swing state in the forthcoming presidential election.

“Former President Trump is anticipated to join Sunday’s game as the guest of a suite holder. We are coordinating with the Secret Service and local officials to ensure the security and safety of all attendees,” said Steelers spokesperson Burt Lauten in a social media statement on Saturday.

On Saturday evening, Trump hosted a rally for steelworkers in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, a small town located about an hour from Pittsburgh. During the event at Arnold Palmer Regional Airport, named after the famous golfer, Trump made inappropriate remarks referencing Palmer’s masculinity and anatomy.

Trump, who served as the 45th President of the United States, often participates in sports events. His attendance has included the annual Army-Navy game, a College Football Playoff national championship, and even the World Series. Recently, he was seen at the Coca-Cola 600 NASCAR race and frequently at UFC matches.

Last month, Trump was present at a college football game featuring Alabama and Georgia.
